Label Is Not Fed Straight

Print roller issues
Verify that the print roller is clean and not worn and needs to be replaced. Also verify that the print roller is not thinner at the center. This happens if narrow media is used. I.e. that the print roller is more worn at its center.

Label Is Not Fully Fed Out

Media Not Detected
  • Verify that the correct media sensor type is selected.
  • Check that the media sensor is not blocked by labels or dust.
  • Verify the inner stabilizing bar.
Print Roller Issues
  • Check that the print roller is clean and not worn or damaged and needs to be replaced
Settings
  • Extra feed setting
    Check the setting for the Extra Feed. If it is set to maximum value -5 mm a standard shaped label will not be fed out all the way.

Label Collides with Applicator Pad

Label Does Not Dispense Properly from the Label Liner

Label Adjustment Won’t Start

Self adjusting applicator (like the QuickTamp) needs to be adjusted before the media can be adjusted. If the printer won’t start the media adjustment, start by verifying there are no applicator related error messages.

Incorrect Paper Out

  • Verify that the labels are attached to the paper core and that the paper core does not slip on the label roller.
  • Verify the paper out sensor

Incorrect Ribbon Out

The printer User Interface reports Ribbon Out when there are unused ribbon left on the ribbon unwinder shaft.

Verify the Ribbon Out Sensor
Verify the Ribbon Sensor.
Settings
A high TT Forward Torque may make the Ribbon Rewind motor to falsely detect that the ribbon is broken. This is reported as Ribbon Out by the printer User Interface. Settings ‣ Print and Apply ‣ Printer ‣ Media ‣ Thermal Transfer ‣ TT Forward Torque. Try to lowering the TT Forward Torque.
